In 2004,
I wrote an ebook based on my experiences as a bouncer
and jiu jitsu instructor. It dealt with the most common
attacks I saw and experienced over 10 years on the
door. I am selling it for Submissions 101 fans at
60% off!
Note:
The videos use an old codec that doesn't work with
a lot of newer systems. Most of the techniques are
old vids and Submissions 101 has most of them in the
technique section anyways. If the vids don't work,
don't sweat it..its the content that is most important.

"Protect yourself NOW and learn
the most common tricks used by Street Fighters and
Criminals. Neutralize the threat by understanding
their motivations and tactics. Empower yourself today!"
Dear Friend,
If you could get your hands on a self defense book
right this very moment, would you be interested?
What I'm about to offer you has never been seen on
the Internet before. Ever!
This ebook is BRAND NEW as of April 10 2005!
The time for how people tackle self defense situations
is here...now. What I am about to share with you in
the next minute will open your eyes to a common problem
facing most of us today..
But before I tell you, please let me introduce myself...
My name is Ari Bolden, and I am security professional
and nightclub doorman with over 10 years of experience.
I am also a self defense instructor who holds two
black belts, in both jujitsu and aikido, and I currently
run my own martial arts studio. I've written several
articles on conflict resolution and also a book on
night club security: The Doorman's Credo (2001).
This is the worlds first integrated multimedia self
defense book!
Having rolled around with some of the streets nastiest
fighters and criminals, I want to share my insight
and experience with you. I want to teach you very
simple yet effective counters to headlocks, punches,
and tackles. You'll soon understand both the common
attacks and frequent follies made by street fighters.
What many people assume is that street fighters are
totally invincible due to their unpredictable nature.
What I will share with you is that these people have
patterns which can be broken down easily and effectively.
Knowing what a street fighter has planned for you
allows you to act in a manner that seems like you
are reading his mind. These secrets are not secrets
at all. They are just observations made in hundreds
of battles in the jungle we call the streets.
You no longer have to wait weeks for your self defense
book to arrive. You get it instantly!
Like the fighter you may face in the street, I don't
pull any punches in my writing style. I wanted to
create a book that was easy to understand yet entertaining
to read. I have always loved having visual references,
that is why I added the color photos. But what is
really exciting, is the addition of video to Head
Locks and Hay Makers!
This is an exciting, no holds barred book on personal
safety. Head Locks and Hay Makers explains common
street fighting tactics and what YOU can do to defend
against them.
Get moving today!

Taken From the Forward of Head Locks and Hay Makers:
This book is a culmination of over ten years of
observations, study, and research. I've been in over
200 confrontations (from fights to brawls), observed
hundreds more, and studied thousands of video clips
of real life street encounters. I am a martial arts
practitioner, jujitsu instructor and nightclub doorman
by trade.
I realized early on in my career that the dynamic
and fluid (a term in which I will use constantly in
this book) nature of fights requires a certain amount
of adjustment on the street. I combine my martial
skill with the experience I learned in street confrontations
to work to my advantage.
I am not a violent person by nature nor do I go
looking for fights 'just for kicks'. In fact, I am
not one who enjoys inflicting pain or suffering on
others. Those are the people that will be facing you
on the street. But, like I always say, 'don't mistake
kindness for weakness.'
If you are prepared to open the door, make sure
you know what awaits you on the other side.
Now, the majority of street level confrontations
involve alcohol (or drug) related activities. There
are of course criminal level acts of violence that
don't involve booze (such as muggings or general beatings),
but I can assure you, if you find yourself in a confrontation
with some screaming idiot, alcohol is probably a contributing
factor.
Since I am in the business of nightclub security
('bouncing'), I get to witness first hand all levels
of street combat. Everything from sucker punches to
multi person brawls. I've restrained and fought many
over the years. Some good, some bad, but all with
commonalties that were shared by one another.
Often is said of bouncers that their perception
of fighting is skewed by the nature of their job.
"It's not REAL violence" chime some critics.
"It's like a staged arena where you have other
bouncers to stop and start fights like professional
boxing matches."
Well, when was the last time you saw a professional
fight use bottles, eye gouges, head locks, ball shots,
and multi person beatings? Yeah, thought so. The arena
in which I work is REALITY. No rules, no time limits,
and no tapping out.
The only reprieve in a street level confrontation
depends on the humanity of the opponent you are facing.
If you go down and they don't want to stop, your next
stop is the hospital or the morgue. I'm dead serious
about this. Violence shatters lives. Being prepared
mentally as well as physically is your goal.
Office worker, computer web designer, bouncer,
student, retail clerk or bus driver, violence is an
equal opportunity phenomenon. I've seen so many people
woefully unprepared for violence because of their
own arrogant self riotousness. Some say violence doesn't
happen to lawyers or upper class citizens because
typically these people don't put themselves in dangerous
environments.
While it is true violence breeds in some forums
better than others, it can show up anywhere and at
anytime.
There are so many myths regarding 'street fighter
tactics' and 'trained fighters', I thought it was
time to set the record straight. I also wanted to
add my observations, tricks, and methods to your fighting
tool box.
While I don't encourage you to go looking for
fights, if one happens to show up on your front step
one night, you'd be best ready for it in a fashion
not taught in dojos or gyms.
Reality is fluid, messy, and chaotic. Are you
ready?
