Testimonials on our DVD Videos

Hello, may name is Damian and am fairly new to practicing MMA. I have loved the sport as far as i can remember but my school and work schedule seldom allowed me to train. FINALLY, I have been able to at a local MIAMI, Florida gym and I cant get enough. I came across your website and LOVE it. You guys are so helpful. The videos have actually helped me more than the class itself. I want to commend you for allowing people like me free access to priceless info. To show my support and gratitude, I purchased Earthbound and it is freaking awsome.

If you have any other DVDs please let me know. I look forward to training at my gym and putting what i learn from the videos to use. I will continue to look for guidance from your website and thank you yet again.

Damian

Your DVD rocks. The reason that it's better than most (that are usually over $100.00) is that:

1. The explanations are complete and easily understood.
2. The follow-up close-ups are key to understanding in even greater detail.
3. Although nobody thinks about it, both instructors are wearing two different colored garments, which are different than the mat color. It may sound odd but so many DVD's have both guys in white. which can leave one wondering whose arm is where and how is positioned vs. the other white clad arm or leg I see? This could mean the difference between getting or not getting the position right.

Thanks!

Rob H.

Hey guys, I don's usually send e-mails to blow smoke up peoples skirts but I gotta pass along that I watched a few of your videos the other days and when I got class and tried them out; two out of three of them worked well for me ( i.e. I got the tap): thanks. When you have a dvd available please let me know if can and I will order right away....you guys rock.

My wife purchased the "lights out" dvd for me and it arrived today. I have to tell you its by far the best layout I have ever seen in an instuctional of this type. I've got quite a few others and they all seem to be random techniques in a random order. Well done.

Steven

After ordering your submissions 101 compilation DVD and now your ebook, I am TOTALLY hooked and craving MORE. Your method of teaching and explaining techniques just could not be clearer. I commend you on a SUPER job. While I am new to martial arts and realize I have a very long way to go on my learning, your material has been a big inspiration to me. Your knowledge and ability amaze me and I envy those that can train from you, but due to the distance that is not possible so your DVD's are a wonderful help.

I of course was thrilled to find out you have a new DVD (Lights OUt) that will soon be released. I was just curious if it is possible to pre order the new DVD so as soon as it is released it can be mailed out and I don't have a wait involved. If so, please tell me what I need to do.

Thank you very much and best to you,

Lon B.

Hey guys, just wanted to write to you all and tell you thanks so much for your instructional videos. They are clear, concise, and I have found are an excellent supplement to my regular training. I'm still a beginner of 5 months, but your videos are exceptionally helpful. Just wanted to pass on my appreciation. Keep up the good work guys!

Regards, Jonathan.

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know I love the site. I just started jiu jitsu and I am still a white belt (no stripes). I love going over your stuff and bringing them to my class. Keep up the good work. I look forward to rolling with you guys one day :)

Just wanted to say thanks for having such a great site. At the moment I am studying Goshin-Jutsu or Karate-Box, and when I found your site I saw that there is tons more of martial that I don't know of. Again, thanks for having such a great site.

First off I would like to say thank you for your support of us and understanding that we do what we do, not because we enjoy it but because it has to be done and we volunteered to protect our country. And in my case our boys and girls in country.

I want you guys to know I hold your website with the highest regard, I am very happy to see a group of true lovers of BJJ not using it entirely for profit.

Thank You Again,

I love the website! I am a novice/beginner and train at McVicker's Martial Arts in Terre Haute, Indiana. The instructor Jack McVicker teaches Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Your videos help me to conceptualize and give me an idea of what the ground game encompasses. Kudos to your website I surfed the web and have looked at other sites and at the top above BJ Penn's site who is 2nd on my favorites list!

Hello- I just wanted to drop a line and tell you that I love your site and the simplicity of it. You guys are doing a great service to us. Keep it up.
Thanks, Michael M

I like the set of techniques on the video. It’s a nice reference tool – particularly good as a supplement to other materials as sort of a mini-encyclopedia of miscellaneous techniques. I also like the succinct and clear teaching style – you guys do a good job of explaining all of the important aspects of each movement without overdoing it.

If there is an e-mail list for the next video, please include me.

Thanks!

Cary

I continue to watch your DVD "The Works" and study your easy to follow instruction. I am not the most coordinated guy on the block and your DVD allows me to study these moves at home and obtain a better understanding.

As a police officer it's not only important for me to know as much as I can to better my chances in confrontation but I need to be able to understand and "see" these moves which lets me fully digest and use them with confidence. Keep up the great work.

Jon

Ari,

Sweet site. Well organized, aesthetic and functional. I like the Flash banner.

Nice meeting you during the Bravo seminar yesterday. Maybe someday I’ll get a chance to visit your Dojo.

Your school, your public information resource, and your instructional skill is a credit to you, your teachers, and your students. Thank you for this great resource, presented without “attitude” or partisan nonsense.

Sincerely yours,

Kit T.

Your sight is awesome and I truly appreciate the time and effort that you have put into providing these instructional videos for martial artists like me and my friends and all for free!! I have been exposed to JuJitsu through my Yoseikan Budo training but not as much as I would like and being able to go to your sight or pop in the dvd (which I bought) to watch and learn the techniques has really brought my ground game up. I am honored to provide a link to your sight from my humble web site and to be able to expose others to the great work you have done.

Sincerely,

Ashley Lee

I'm Lorenzo Lami, a traditional jujitsu student from Italy. I've just finished reading your first post on the submissions101 blog, and I feel the need to thank you and everybody who is helping you in this project
because I am really learning from these vids. They are free, and this makes your work something to respect for this reason alone, as is your goal to spread jujitsu technique. Moreover, all videos are high quality
simply because they are, as you say, clear concise and direct. They even have multiple levels of understanding: I often found myself watching again a video trying to catch the details.

Keep on teaching, you're really gifted.

Thanks again,
Lorenzo

I didn't have a question or anything; I just wanted to comment on the fact that your website is awsome...very organized and informative...it's great for BJJ practitioners of any level...whether you're a beginner or black belt! Keep the videos comin'! I personally favor your videos demonstrating submission defense and sweeps though the basic submission instruction really helps whenever I begin disregarding proper technique and get sloppy...great reminder of perfect technique and control! I always recommend your site for anyone looking to improve technique, learn new submissions, or people that want to start taking up BJJ. Thanks a lot!

Herberto

I love the web site. For the past 2 months I have been accessing all the videos and incorporating the techniques with my kajikembo. I have known a lot of the basics of grappling/jujitsu, but there are some subtle techniques that have picked up that have allowed me to greatly improve my ground fighting. I have turned a lot of my fellow students and my Instructor onto the web site. Keep up the good work.

Thanks
Dean

Good Morning,
I just wanted to thank you for your site, it is awesome. I have recently began training in Jiu-jitsu after several years of studying different types of martial arts. I have to say with just one month into training that I would trade it all in for those years to have been spent studying Jiu-jitsu. I love this sport and the flowing from move to move is like watching ballet. Your site is informative. I put my laptop on the floor and practice the techniques over and over when not in class. The videos are clear and very easily understandable.

Darius

This isn't really an inquiry so much as it is a gigantic "thank you" forproviding such a fantastic online resource for grapplers and MMAfighters everywhere.

I'm a San Da/San Shou/Wrestling MMA fighter, but found trouble when I'droll with some of the jiu jitsu guys... your videos (which are extremelywell put together and explained) have allowed me to not only escapetheir submission attempts, but actually surprise them and submit them myself!

Thanks again!

First of all I just have to say what a great job you guys are doing, your making everything easy to understand even for the layperson. This is making an excellent example of this great art and shows the beauty and devastation of Jiu-Jitsu.

Thank You For your time and Dedication.

You really have something with these videos. Like you said, there are tons of experts out there in the various martial arts, but not many can actually transmit the knowledge. Yours are the first videos I have seen on the net that are actually helpful and easy to understand. It is your escapes that I find most helpful, because my Goshin class really only covers application of techniques and not their counters.

Thanks
